Protection of Database Privacy

In recent years, there has been an increased awareness regarding digital privacy protection, and new legislation was implemented. In 2018, the Privacy Protection Authority published a series of new regulations in accordance with the Privacy Protection Law.  These new regulations impose greater obligations and requirements on database holders.

In addition, the Privacy Protection Authority established a mechanism to supervise database holders in order to increase awareness, identify difficulties, and ensure compliance with the new regulations. Non-compliance with the regulations may result in administrative and criminal sanctions, as well as civil lawsuits.

Our firm consults on matters relating to database privacy protection for a number of well-known organizations in various fields of industry, services, and healthcare.

Moreover, we represent various institutions before Israel’s tribunals in disputes involving breaches of database privacy obligations.
